Two Secret Verizon Phone Menus – LG VX5200, LG VX6000, LG VX7000, LG VX8100 etc phones
This one is pretty straight forward but is the key to doing a lot of stuff that Verizon has disabled by default for their phones…
1. First Press Menu
2. Look at the menu if you want, but we’re gonna chose an option that isn’t available there: 0
3. After you press 0, you get asked for the service code password. No problem, it is all zeros! Enter 0,0,0,0,0,0 for the service code.
Your now in the “secret” service menu. Be careful – you CAN screw up your phone from this menu..
And there is another secret menu from here!
4. Press #, another hidden option, and you will enter the TEST MODE menu and from there you can do all kinds of cool stuff!

Sorry, but I don’t know the service menu code for the prepaid phones… It probably depends upon where you bought it… I haven’t seen any other service menu codes anywhere else either… Sorry….
Do you know if these menus can reactivate the Bluetooth file trasfer on the vx8100?
my cousin has this phone and can’t bluetooth pictures from it to anything else..
I was told this is a verison issue. but I’m assuming its just been switched off..right?
I’d fiddle with the code myself.. but he won’t let me mess wit the phone unless I’m sure it can be done.
ok i locked my phone some how and i cant get it to nlock i dont now the code….what do i do

the unlock code is the last four digits of your phone number.
as it says in the other posting under “Verison LG Phones” category listing on the right.

Ughh. I locked my friend Cindy’s phone and it’s the 4-Digit code. Not the 6-digit and she doesn’t remember the code… What do we do?!?!??!??!?!

As I said in my last post assuming cindy or you didn’t change it,
The default unlock code to verison LG phones (the “4-Digit code“) is the last 4 digits of that phones phone number.
I keep trying ( on the tracfone web) to reactivate my tracfone prepaid phone (via prepaid phone card from Walmart), but when ever I try, the responce is that it can’t do it at this time. Now my phone’s main menu reads “prepayed service disabled”. Now what?

Hey there. I’ve got an LG 8100, but this ‘secret service menu’ eludes me. By hitting Menu (which is I assume the left Soft Button), and pressing 0, nothing happens. I’m never asked for a code. I can hammer Menu and 0 all I want anywhere in the phone’s menus, and nothing ever happens. Am I doing something wrong?

what exactly are these “secret codes” for? I was told a rumor that you can unlock your phone from all the restrictions verizon puts on it…is that true? and what do the tests do?

I have an LG VX9800. Somehow if I don’t answer my phone it call forwards to my office. Obviously I somehow call forwarded the phone… by accident. I cannot even find out any info about call forwarding in the user guide for the phone. It happens if I hit ignore also. If I try to call my voicemail it also calls my office phone. What gives?

Read the post and follow the instructions. The Verizon Menu is the same on most phones.
I have an lg vx8100 phone and I have tried to unlock the phone pressing menu, 0, and the service code all of them I put 000000 but the phone tells me that the service code is wrong… I am from Puerto Rico. pleaese help me…..
Verizon must have a different policy for phones shipped to puerto rico. I don’t have a solution for you right now. I might have more time to play over Christmas.
But can you try to help over the christmas to try to find the right service code?

I did some research and found that the theory I had will not work. So, I don’t think I can get you past this menu. Sorry…
Anyone have any ideas on how to get GPS cords with a 5200? I can get the secret menu and all, I just don’t know what to do.

Hi, I have a LG G4015 that I bought off of eBay. The seller said it was unlocked, but it isn’t. I have tried 0000, the last 4 digits of my number 1234. I’ve tried the 000000. Nothing unlocks it. What should I do?
I work with a bluetooth printer and a local retailer. Many persons wish to print there pictures from there phones and there systems ask for a code. any suggestions. it’s not just verison. Depending on the phone they have many of the service providers ask for a code.Thank you in advance for any help.
Hi, there. I have one other question for you, I mean besides those of other posters. You haven’t covered one thing. In the services menu, there is a Get It Now menu. In that menu, there’s a Get It Now Test mode option. I opened that menu, but when I entered it all that was there was a text box for entering text. The text box read “Off.” The “T9text” command was supposed to work if I pressed the button to the right of the OK button on my keypad. I pressed the button, but instead of turning the option on, it did nothing. It was like the “Off” option was set in stone. Is there anyway, I can turn on the Get It Now testing mode or has Verizon locked it out on purpose? If so, is there anyway of getting around the lockout. I could make it into the Services menu. It’s just that I couldn’t turn many of the options on or off. It was like they were frozen in whatever default setting they were in.
I don’t mean to hog the post or anything, but the reason that I was asking this is because my Get It Now has somehow been blocked, at least as far as the Ringtones/Ringback Tones and games go. I was thinking that maybe turning on test mode would allow me to get around it. I have another person on my plan that doesn’t want to be able to download games or anything. And the cellphone plan is in their name. It’s a Verizon family plan by the way. And my phone is a VX8100. If turning on the Get It Now test mode won’t work, is there some data/log file in my phone’s file structure that I can delete using BitPim, so I can access the Get It Now game browser again. I mean does a file hold the record of the block.
