Voted today – Good grief quite a turn out!

I usually get in and get out of the voting place in 5 minutes.  A little longer if I go in unprepared. for the issues.  This time there were 13 other people in line and when I left there were still about 10 people in line.

  1. Yes. It’s an electronic voting machine, rather than the paper ballot. I don’t think the paper validation is a simple as it could be. In fact I don’t like that part of it. However, I do think that over all interface is a good one.

Yes, I trusted it. I could verify my vote on the screen and the paper printout showed in detail every vote I cast and it all matched what I’d seen on the screen.

Yes, I am registered to a party and not an independant. By next vote I’m likely to switch to Libertarian. We need more of a mix. This government was never meant to be a two party system.

Yes, I’m in Ohio! Of course they did! However not by phone. I only have a cell phone, my land line has been disconnected. So, I don’t have to deal with campaigners and telemarketers.

  2. That’s a good sign though, people are concerned about what the politicians are doing. 25 minutes though, hope you had a book or something.
